Ok...I'm a long time lurker finally making some type of contribution. I'm currently working in the middle east and had a grand three week Thailand trip planned. It pretty mcuh went to hell when I mentioned the trip to some family members. Long story short....I ended up spending a week here with my brother, cousin and their wives. I arrived a day early and depart a lay later than everyone else but didn't plan on screwing around because I didn't want to bump into anyone with my family.

So...I arrived, showered up, and hit the streets to take it all in. I have to admit everything was a bit overwhelming at first, but I had a blast just looking around getting my bearings. I was able to find the Guess Bar pretty quickly and I did a quick run-through of Nana Plaza. I also scoped out a few GG places like Lolita's and Eden. I didn't go into any bars, but it was good know where everything was. I ended up eating on Soi 7 right across from the Beer Garden at the place that has a patio, a crapload of tables and about 6 places to order Thai food from.
