What became of that gal anyway, didn't I read that she was badly beaten up in the States a couple of years after that reality TV show.

I think she is living in NYC. I see her ad posted in Eros-guide ny all the time. she has what appears to be updated photos on her ad so I guess its her but I can not confirm it

The girl on the picture is Miriam Rivera (born 1981?), a Mexican pre-operative transsexual who appeared on the reality television shows There's Something About Miriam and Big Brother Australia 2004. She has also worked as an adult model under the name Victoria and as a non-adult model.

Sources told "Page Six" of the New York Post that Miriam was seriously injured in spring 2007 when she was thrown out of a third-story window at her home. However, New York Post is not a very serious newspaper.
