I also use Catch and release method , whether it is voluntary or required, it must be done properly if it is to succeed in having the fish survive.

I absolutely could not imagine taking an 8 year old to Pattaya, whether I was mongering or not. I am always kind of freaked out when I see families walking around in that place - I mean WTF! There are about a million better places to go with a kid.

I'm traveling to LOS with my 20 year old son and his friend in about a week. We'll be spending about 10 days together, mostly on Phuket. I figure we'll scuba dive and island hop.

I intend to tell him about the LB's he'll see on Bangla Road, but will likely not divulge to him my personal interest in them. He and his friend leave to return on the 25th, leaving me with a full 10 days solo. ......heading to Patts then for my first return there since 1985 (then i was with my conservative ex-wife).

He knows about me & Kate......and he will more than likely meet her again as we bump into people around Patts in August or September.....

He's not a daft lad and has probably guessed what his old fellas been up to.....especially as a fair amount of LB's seem to know me by name....oo-er..!

Some might rightly say that exposing the lads to the seedier side of life could be a bad thing....I can't really disagree...

However....I was exposed to the brothels in Germany and Holland at a similar age and to be frank....I didn't bother...I had a look but that was it...

It wasn't till I was much older and probably less wiser that I took the plunge in LoS....

I just know that if I was exposed to LBs before... I sure wouldn’t waste my life chasing European GGs… what a waste of time it was, and of money . But my father is a better man than I am and didn't spent all vacation chasing Thai LBs and enjoying Thai culture.
