Hi

I am due to go to Singpore in the next few weeks and wanted to head to Geylang as Orchard towers seems to be pricey but various posts indicate that the LB scene is pretty much dead in Geylang.

Is anyone from singapore able to give an update on the LB scene in Singapore Geylang.

Thanks
P.S i am in PRC so cant get to some blogs

I spent a few nights in Geylang - Lorong 16 in April

There were a handful of LBs each night on the street - close to the Indian girls.

Not a large number to choose form. a couple of attractive Thais - but nothing compared to LOS

I have never been to Orchard as the price seems exorbitant

Firstly - sorry laurentph, didn't check in for a while.
Secondly, they blocked my blog in China? How dare they! :)
Just for that I'm not going there!

But seriously, Geylang's pretty dead unfortunately. It offered a chance to chat before anything (they were all street walkers) and a choice of rooms was available. Real pity. Some local ladyboys do lurk around midnight.

Compared to LOS, Orchard Towers is expensive and to be honest not all the ladyboys are lookers. However, business in general has been slow lately so lower prices are possible early in the week.

The alternative is Rowell Road, a number of good looking Thais and Malaysians are available. The rooms are another story.

Thanks for all the information. Looks like it will be a fun trip. I will post a write-up once I have experienced it.

Just got back from Singapore yesterday, where I spent three days. Went to Geylang on three occasions, at different times of the day. The normal area for GG's (Lorong 4-24, 13-15 if you fancy Sri Lankan) and Lorong 16 (LB's) was pretty much deserted. Saw 4 LB's one night, but not any that I would be interested in. In general I didn't see more than 8-10 working girls/LB's in the entire area, which suggests a crack-down by the coppers. There was a lot of tents/stages around, so I'm guessing there's some kind of religious festival going on which would explain this. Orchard Towers (and don't forget to check the street opposite from the Towers) looked like business as usual.
