Found this information about Amari Boulevard in a post elsewhere;
When I checked in I explained to the receptionist that I didnt want to be hasselled each time that I came in at night (as I had paid for a twin and was staying with a guest)
She said. "Didnt they give you a green key tag" when you checked in, I said no "white". She said they should have given you "green".
She said here is a green key tag , just hold it so the bellboy security can see it as you walk in at night and he will not ask anything. Not even your room number.
I did this and it worked for the rest of the week. The bellboy-security just smilled at both of us , nodded and we walked through. He had no idea who she was or if she checked in with me, just that I had the right colour key tag.
Ask the girl at reception (Assistant Manager) for a green key tag when you check in, because you dont want to be insulted with your guest. Just be sure to pay twin
The important point is to book & pay for a double or twin room.
The manager's name is Jaqcues, sure he can sort things out for you if you encounter any problems.
The position of the hotel is excellent with regard to proximity to Nana Plaza.
I have e-mailed the hotel directly, asking their policy on ladyboys and will await their reply !

Should a guest book a double room, the hotel will require that both guests register individually, in order to write down the registration number printed on the immigration card, attached to the passport, when you enter Thailand. Thai nationals will have to produce their ID card, for registration.
If you book a single room and wish to accommodate a friend, a B. 800++ levy will be charged onto your hotel bill. This amount does not include American Breakfast Buffet, should your single room rate (e.g. as per voucher) have it included. If you have booked a double room, and your friend joins you later, registration will be mandatory, in order to avoid the 'visitor's charge'.
These measures are taken for security reasons only. A hotel will be responsible and liable to registered hotel guests only - of course, within the Thai law - (when providing accommodation).
Do not hesitate to write to the undersigned, if more information is required.
