I as thinking it would be fun to have a get-together when Obsessions re-opens. Of course this means that I, or anyone, needs to figure out when that date is. :?
I asked a few people this week but could not get a definitve answer (surprise).
I think it might be soon, maybe next week (week of 10 Oct or week of 17 Oct)?
I'll try to nail this down and re-post here with a proposal.

Some signs are indicating Saturday, 15 October 2005. As far as I can determine there is no in-house opening party planned.

Sorry I haven't followed up on this. Many folks are indicating that when Obsessions re-opens it might be a regular girl go-go bar. 
I'll try to stay on top of this and post back if it looks like an event can be planned.

Just in case Obsession will really reopen as a girly bar, what will happen to the former Obsession ladyboys? Will they stay in Cascade along with the Cascade LBs? I know that they are sometimes not getting along too well and the competition is quite fierce. I don't think the working climate would be very well, if they would all have to stay in this one bar in the future.

Probably the pretties will stay in Cascade, the lower quality will thrown to Temptations or to the streets...

I read elsewhere that they were at first planning on making Obsessions a post-op only bar, but then decided to stick with the former setup.

I haven't had a chance to follow up on this but I was wondering if there was actually any work being done on the Obsessions bar. Usually, when rennovating other bars in NEP, you can hear them hammering away at all times of the night. When I walk by I do notice the door is shuttered but it doesn't look like there is any work being done? Maybe they only work during the day?
I think we all get a different story depending on who we ask, and when we ask. In a brief conversation with someone who should know, he indicated that Obsessions had several owners and they were not in total agreement on what format to use upon re-opening.

Would not surprise me, if like Admin says it will be a girlie bar. It was never that busy, had moments but from what I saw it was not so popular - strange as they had some nice gals.
Problem is for some of these 'niche' bars is that the internet maybe affecting them. I have known a couple of 'gals' that started working in a bar or another only to find they could make more through 'chatting' on the Net.
