Those prices are insane :? I paid 1800 for the superior and 2 days later went to the delux for 2200 for the remaining days of my trip. this was in August of course.

I might give Tim Boutique a go next time

As I stated, the rack rates are expensive, but if you are travelling at the right time, you can take advantage of the specials being offered.

I stayed in the One Bedroom Suite for 10 nights at a cost of 2700 Baht/night. The advertised rate is 4500 Baht/night.

I've stayed at a whole range of hotels in Pattaya, from 200 Baht per night up to over 5000 Baht per night, so from my perspective the room I had was excellent value at 2700 Baht per night.

I'm sure plenty of guys don't want to spend this amount of money on a hotel room, however there are others who work hard, have the money, and want to make the most of the few weeks a year they have on vacation.

For this type of traveller, the hotel is worth consideration.

Cheers

Work puts us up in similar standard Hotels but I'm not whoring and drinking and I just would'nt feel comfortable doing that in such a nice place .
Maybe I could book it for my Honeymoon. :P

No doubt about it, that's a really nice place.

But being a tight-wad I wouldn't pay that for any room, however well appointed.

You could stay a month in a decent place just up the road for the equivalent of 3 nights in a deluxe there.

Good for dudes on a short burst with lots of baht burning a hole.

Yes LK R is certainly top notch digs, I checked the place out in Feb with Slappy111 then spent my last few nights in there, the penthouse suites with them outdoor jacuzzis are as good as it gets, the lounge would have to be 100sq mtrs :o Great private party venue.

On my next trip I'm trying out somewhere different if only to escape the fortcoming December/January gay parade which is gonna be taking place at my usual haunt LK P

On KK's recommendation I stayed at LK in a deluxe room 2200baht.
It was value for money at that price, but I'm not sure I would stay again. The entire decor has been put together by some wannabe Versace or maybe it was Eton John's boyfriend, it's just a bit over the top. Like many Thai places you wonder if it will still look nice in a year or two, there were a number of shabby finishes in my room, like cornice dropping away from the ceiling.
I think I'll go back to PBR again next time.
When I were a lad we had the one thing that money can't buy....poverty
