Everyone I spoke to in Thailand recommended "1,2,Call"

http://www.one-2-cal...2Call/index.jsp

I recently purchased a Sim Card Starter Kit for 350 Baht for my Nokia 6610 and it worked fine.

Wasn't asked for any ID, but it probably pays to bring your mobile phone along to be certain of compatibility !

Not sure about exact call charges, but seemed to be fairly cheap from what I can remember.

You can top up your account with a 300 or 500 Baht refill card, by simply entering a code into your phone as per the instructions.

I have seen the starter kits & refill cards being sold at 7 eleven's and at all the mobile phone kiosks such as at MBK in Bangkok & at Big C in Pattaya.

I'm using 1-2-CALL for 3 years right now and no complains. GPRS/WAP/SMS/MMS whatever you want or need is available. Buy in any 7/11 or at 4'th floor of MBK shopping mall.

A starter pack of sim card and 50 THB of call credit can be bought in the Ais shop on the top floor of Robinsons in Sukhumvit Rd costs 250 THB.

And if you still can't figure out how to top it up, go to the first bar you come to, buy a Beer and give the phone and top up card to a BG and she will update it for you faster than you can read the instructions! Just make sure she isn't tempted to do a runner with your phone!!! :D
