NH Aventure is by far my favorite in Tokyo. For Tokyo reasonable price vs quality. The girls dont speak much english, they are all japanes now, however you might be very surprised by some!!

Just info : dont go to roppongi in the pick up bars such as motown, will cost you a fortune, at least 30.000 yen + taxi fee or motel.

Probably closest equiv to Aventure in Osaka.

Couple of other places out by Juso, Heaven?and down Soemoncho. Jordan?

Magnet is a fun bar out at Doyama, East of Umeda, both NHs and amateur TVs there, some pretty good looking; interesting mix of clientele. Some good videos and music on occasion, and odd Japanese celebrities.
Run by three lovely ladies - Noriko, Shizuna and Naruko (?)

Their link page is quite extensive too ...

If you have good Japanese, check out the New Half Net, Fuzoku Link and their BBS.

Hope this helps...

It helps incredibly!

... except that I don't speak Japanese. Am I out of luck? Can I still go to Magnet?

Frustrated in Osaka,

Yeah, why not!

But if you want to make the most of your time there, learn some of the language.

Out of the major Asian destinations, Japan's population have amongst the lowest English speaking ability, despite 6 years of schooling, though that was to pass an exam, not acquire fluency in a language. You'd be better of writing memos to them!

Hey, DHT.

Agreed on everything you said. Thing is, I've had a girlfriend here from the beginning and have gotten by easily without the language.

Now just back from Thailand and really want to make a couple contacts here, but don't think I can wait until my Japanese is good enough.

Sent you a PM, but if you're in Osaka anytime this Fall, would love to buy you a drink.

cheers.
PS -- That goes for you too, Karl, but sounds like you're Tokyo based.
