Options:
set up a business, and use it to sponsor you...conditions apply
deposit lots of money in a Thai bank account - used to be 2M Baht - not sure of current amount
Many of the Asian countries whose members take full advantage to travel, marry and settle elsewhere, do not reciprocate when it comes to overseas spouses wanting to settle in their countries.
37 years in Asia, 35 years with the 3rd sex.
When you take your last breath, don't be thinking, "I wish I had....." It'll be too late then!

There is a forum: www.thaivisaforum.com that may help with those questions.

Just to clarify: If a British person marries a Thai, the Thai does NOT automaticaly have a right to British citizenship or even a tourist visa, but the visa requirements change entirely as for those of a tourist visa and the chances increased. They must go through the application process like everybody else. However, having a British husband would assist in the application for a spousal visa and/or British citizenship, i.e. getting them into the UK.

When she went back to Thailand to do massage and hairdressing courses she had to get a three month Visa . Immigration were going to charge her as an overstayer when she went a couple of days over on the Visa but luckily she had gone for a day trip to Laos about a week before we left so got an extention , but it still took alot of convincing them.
She wants to retire in Thailand and run a resort from her family farm , but I am not sure how easy that will be if her whole family emmigrates.
The World is my Oyster - Muwhahahahaha!!
A Ladyboy is never early , neither is she ever late . She turns up precisely when she means to.
