I just got back from a short but really enjoyable
trip to Bangkok, and I wouldn't have had half the fun without gleaning info here first. The Dynasty Inn was a good recommendation for digs.As far as LB action goes, first I went to Sukhumvit Plaza to visit Guess Bar. But it was closed because it was late. Luckily I met a really nice LB in the only ground floor bar which was still open, and had fun together that night.
Next night I went to Guess much earlier, to find I was the only man there. Played a few rounds of pool with the girls, and then got some one-on-one attention from Jane, who is really something...
Later on I visited Cascade, which I found amazing, a real revelation. Hooked up with a young LB called Bee who was very sweet.
That 2am exodus from Nana Plaza is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. All the variety of humanity is there. I watched the girls and ladyboys stream out into the sea of touts and tuk tuk drivers, accompanied by blokes of all descriptions, then out came a baby elephant, and finally, bringing up the rear, a guy in a wheelchair... it's an equal opportunity whorehouse, that's for sure.
Thanks to those of you who sent me messages. Sorry we couldn't meet up but hope to do so next time. I'm looking forward to visiting some of the other venues as soon as I'm able!
