If your interested....
I see the topic of the decreasing value of the dollar (Euro, GBP, etc..) to the baht gets some continued play around the forum.

I saw a couple of interesting articles today about the Thai Gov't realizing this is a problem (mainly for the Manufacturing sector...they didn't mention any concern for the LB lovers :D ) And they are starting to take steps to slow the increase in strength of the baht.

Changes to monetary policy don't take place overnight (unless done really badly...crash!) but thought it was good to know they are trying to hold onto the value we are getting when we travel to Thailand

And remember when checking exchange rates there is two markets for Thai Currency - Onshore (what you get when you arrive) and Offshore (buying Thai Currency abroad)....always look at the onshore rates like BKKBank's website.

I'm praying for another Asian Crash.

The economy is overheated - everything is too expensive for the average joe (i mean avg Thai Joe). House prices are too high - Condos too expensive and cars too expensive against local salaries.

If it crashes i'll be mopping up on the property market in the longer run.
I intending buying alot - got alot in reserves at the moment.

So fingers crossed for the crash - and then hopefully some longer term political stability
I spent a lot of money on LB's in Nana Plaza, Patpong and Pattaya. The rest of the cash, I just squandered

Rather selfish comments there Brit as plenty of ex-pats and good few forum members have already invested in the property market.
I can not see another Asian crash occuring, that type of thing shall not happen twice in such a short space of time.
Much as I would like to see 90 Baht to the pound again

Selfish indeed. I did say i was personally hoping for that.
I also have invested in property - however i am hoping for the crash for further investment opportunities in the future.
