Try, www.fly12go.com Thailands easy jet. I used them a couple times. Cheap and organized, booked online quick and simple. Try and book early as planes are small and get full quick.

There are three or four low price carriers flying out of the two Bangkok airports, Air Asia and Nok Air are two that I've used recently.
Perhaps some other forum members can be more specific :)

I use Nok Air everytime now. Have met people who tried others with mixed results, like 1, 2 go........2hours+ flight delay from Bkk to Pkt!

I have used Nok Air a couple of times for flights to Chiang Mai and have been more than satisfied with both the price & service.

Generally I make use of the "Nok Plus" product which is basically a business class seat although the planes are old Thai Airways aircraft.

I've booked all my flights online in advance, and would not hesitate to use them again, as they were alot cheaper than Thai Airways for domestic fares.

The other operators to consider are;

http://fly12go.com/en/main.shtml

http://www.bangkokair.com/

http://www.pbair.com/

http://www.thaiairways.com/

Based on all the research I did some time ago, Nok Air appeared to be the most reputable.

Be sure to have a good look at the baggage allowances as some of the operators have strict limits and then charge you fairly substantially for being overweight.

Got a flight from Koh Samui to Bangkok in march and no complaints here, cost 8025baht one way for two of us. Only problem I had was the seatbelt sign was only off for like 10 minutes, so it wasn't enough time to join the mile high club with a ladyboy :(

Fat people should take the bus anyway

Air asia always seem to have speacial offers in teh style or ryanair/easy jet. It pays to keep an eye on their promotions, and if you're willing to get eth nasty 6am/11pm flights you'll always get a good price. Nok is similar.

But even with the slightly bigger companies, Bangkok air, Thai air, you can get cheap internarl and close international flights, if you keep looking and messing and being flexible with your flight days/times.

The only other I'd add to the list is PB Air, particularly good for flights to north and north east thailand.

Hi Kliome,

Had forgotten about PB Air, but have now added their link to my original list.

Decided to add Thai Airways after all to complete things.

So that makes 6 airlines to consider for all your various travel requirements internally.

I was talking to a pilot recently, he flys 747 cargo aircraft for a US airline, but based in BKK.
He reckons all the budget airlines in the region are fine, the one exception being 12go.
He reckons there are serious maintainence problems on their aircraft.

Had a nightmare flight on Phuket Air BKK/LGW. Now that was serious maintenance problems!
