And is it tru I should pay for a double room in Thailand if I am expecting a friend up, or else extra charge? Or just take a single?

They are modern and clean though.
When i was there the girls at reception always had a good giggle when they saw me with a different lb every night/day. Don't know why, cos its not like i was the first person to ever bring a lb into this hotel.

Man those standard rooms in majestic are so small, that you you have to go outside to change your mind!

Bet they havnt met "Dirty Mike" yet!
To be honest i wouldnt stay there again.. It was my first time on the lb scene, and that sort of thing can put a dent in your confidence. Although now i couldnt care less, at that time i was still shy and didnt need comedy from the receptionists.
I much prefer the dynasty inn.. There you feel like the invisible man.. You can bring in a cyclops and the girls at reception wont batter an eyelid.!

I always ask for a room in the back building because if you want to you can avoid reception altogether. However, at this hotel (almost) everyone is there for the same thing and I've never found it necessary.
Depending how long you're staying in Bkk you might want to look into renting an apt - much cheaper, last time I was there I found one for 5000 bht a month (2 months).
