It would be useful to list any hotels which we should avoid.

Perhaps because :
* the rooms are not clean or
* the decor is tired or
* isn't guest friendly or
* swimming pool is dirty or looks terrible

Whatever the reason... let us know....

(its easier to list the places to avoid than the ones which are good)
I spent a lot of money on LB's in Nana Plaza, Patpong and Pattaya. The rest of the cash, I just squandered

Jasmine Hotel in Pattaya to me wasn't good at all. It was guest friendly BUT lots of Contruction noise and room seemed dirty to me (ie Dead bug in kitchen sink area that was not cleaned the 3 days I was there). No phone in room, etc. But room is cheap (I rather pay more for better accomadations.)

I stayed at Diamond Beach Hotel off Walking Street in Pattaya and checked out after 1 night. It was filthy, smelled damp and fausty and I ended up with a throat infection.

Not a nice place!!

have to go with adamski on diamond beach, totally run down and dirty. Stayed 2 nights and then made a beeline for one of my regular hotels. Only thing good about the place is the location. As far as the rest goes, forget about the place.
the best things that come to those who wait, may be the worst things left behind by the ones who got there first.

These tests are from a great german-thaiforum. The hotels were tested by members.
Sunshine garden hotel in North Pattaya is clean, with tropical garden, low prices and nice pool
Palm garden North Pattaya too: big pool, tropical garden price around 720 Baht.
The north of pattaya is more quiet and the hotels more nice with garden. Pick ups taxis available
Sabai Lodge: very nice too luxrioir room 2200 Baht higher class but some nois einnightime from Bars fromSoi 2
Sawasdee Place in Naklua 590 Baht with breakfast, chang Beer onpool 30 Baht. friendly stuff. id check and telephone before gg or lb is leaving the hotel.
Intown Holiday incentral of pattaya, price around 600 Baht with pool on top. Can be booked over german agency Neckermann too.
MP Mansion residence onthe way to Jomtien: perfect test results. rooms from 700-1600 Baht. 2 german owners. Clean, best quality rooms, sauna, pool
Beverly Plaza located in the heart of South Pattaya. Can be booked cheep over german travel agency MEIERS. 200 Bahr lady charge must be paid.
Nearly all hotels in Pattay awere checked in this forum. If someone has questions about a hotel i can check

Royal Paradise - they are ridiculous about the guest charge. Tried to charge me 600B each for three men, when we tried to escape because there was a Tsunami warning on. False alarm anyway, but we only wanted to be safe for 30 mins. Almost got into a punch up with the security.

In Samui - loads of places won't let LBs in. I had to leave the Evergreen resort because of this.

These are the only problems I found.
