probably gonna irk some but hey, these old threads and posts are gems sometimes. Could be the youngsters might learn something about the "golden age". Reminds me too of how it was when I came along new and fresh, with the dark side only a whisper 
Really miss the All Stars posters of the past and the camaraderie and social aspect, which seems to be somewhat of a casualty in the point and click social media world it has morphed into.

Unfortunately JustSumGai, you are correct. Many posts nowadays are asking for "who is she, how big is she, how well does she perform and what is her contact information?" Then if someone posts the information there is rarely a follow up post.
Many of these posters are disappointed if they don't get an answer within 24 hours. A far cry from the days when guys freely posted trip reports with photos, and shared information with other members who would follow up with their experiences when they met the lbs in question.

Justsumgai, you could be more positive. I still believe that the "Golden Age" is still ahead.
When I was in other forums dealing with p4p, I saw the same phenomenon of guys asking for "what's her contact ?" or worse "I will go to nowhere city next week, please advise me of an escort" (tranny, Russian whore, local freelancer or whatever). I even saw a forum admin requiring anyone to have a ratio of 3 informative posts to 1 request post or he would delete requests. It didn't help creating a cool atmosphere.
Even when talking of ladyboy forums, they all have their advantages/disadvantages. One is restricted to a group of posters who don't like a new BM to come and be less informed of details they deal with. Another one is moderated by bar managers. Needless to say you can’t post a review if something negative happened to you. Other forums are flooded with useless posts, bad jokes or unpolite posts.
The result is that readers believe there is only one way to find ladyboys : go to XXX bar and nowhere else or they will call you a moron. They develop stereotyped opinions such as "freelancers don't work in (our) bars, they are poor quality ladyboys". The more I think about it, the more I find out I can use 1,000 ways and even more to meet a good ladyboy. Forums should help talking about them instead of censoring opinions that are not accepted by the majority.
It doesn't help creating links or camaraderie between posters.
I also believe that TRs don’t have the same value now. When I started posting, this time had already been over. First TRs must have looked magical to other mongers/BMs when they described new situations no one knew. BMS were also sharing ideas in small boards, what is no longer the case. Today, if you write too much in a TR, a hater (like those in another forum) can read it and comment it negatively. Ladyboys can be rapidly informed if you post a pic and complain about it. A forum can no longer be a website for nude pics, since this may cause troubles with ladyboys but also since the best looking ladyboys are shot by great photographers and our smartphone pics can’t compete with them.
As above mentioned, I still believe we have great stuff to share in a forum. Bars and usual mongering places are becoming expensive. It becomes almost impossible now to pay a LT with a ladyboy for several reasons. This is why we still need to share in a forum. So many subjects could be dealt with to improve our contacts with ladyboys and our holidays or staying in Thailand.

oh it's true a forum is a font of knowledge...IF those in the know POST. Most of the big names I remember fell off the boards from 2012-2015 it seems, some even earlier. What **I* miss is the social fun chatter. In one thread I read they give "Gman" good natured crap all the time. This kind of thing evolves from meeting and hanging out together, cruising the bars and such. Seems to me it's mostly a solitary pursuit now. I laugh thinking about the long trip report haters, as I'm reading one by Paultrain now that got a barrage of cracks. One guy used word to count the 2000 plus words he wrote before even getting TO Thailand haha. Another asked if he had any pictures of paint drying. Rather than go off in a snit, he replied with a joke and continued. I don't know, but I suspect it has a lot to do with the difference between the under 50s and the overs.
The trip reports...I started on the 2005 ones tonight, virtually NO pics. That was what made some guys instant stars with many fans. But then the hero's came along, and girls started getting saavy and saying no pics and that fizzled. Smart phones were another big change.
Some of my favorite posters are still at it thank goodness I do NOT view this or any forum as mostly a way to find ladyboys. Also I never mentioned guys asking newb questions, so I'm not sure what that's about. Hell, I used to be on newgroups and IRC so I'm used to flamers, etc. And there IS a GOOD reason to crack on these lazy shits who come on going "where's the biggest cock in Bkk?". Or "how do I get to Guess Bar?" For crying out loud, FUCKING GOOGLE IT! How do these saps find a plane to Thailand? From other non ladyboy related forums, etc. it would seem MANY MANY young dopes (and some older ones TOO) do NO RESEARCH before they get on a plane. I am not here to mollycoddle the lazy and if someone gets their little feelings hurt over a sarcastic remark made by some board member, let em stay home, they are not ready for Thailand.

it's because they are lazy self serving twits If they would READ the forum a bit first...
as I mentioned I used to haunt newsgroups. There it was always stressed that one should drop in and observe a bit before posting. It's a valid point. These guys want to ask a question, get taken seriously and get an answer and then they are GONE. Were I to have a forum, I'd delete such posts after a bit if they got no response. As an aside, that guy posting who wanted some help in planning his move to Asia. Not ONE reply. Kinda sad.

Before I started posting in a forum dealing dealing with p4p, I had made the decision to remain anonymous. I was requested to create a registration name, I also created an email with a fake name and started using fake IDs. A couple of years later, the board was not only full of newbies asking questions. It was full of flamers and haters posting threats and willing to give posters IDs to the police.
I kept my habit of going anonymous.
When I wrote a TR (in another forum) demonstrating that ladyboys hooked up in bars were not better than other ladyboys (not only freelancers), I noticed my TR caused an outcry. Thanks heaven, I hadn't met BMs. I felt threatened again and am still wondering what kind of interests were endangered by my opinions. Never mind.
Since then, I decided not to waste too much time writing a TR. When I wrote a review about p4p places in Europe, more than 10 years ago, I used to give all the details for any one to find the exact locations and how I had done the bargain. Now, it's over. Smart guys will probably find and I am likely to help them. I can measure all the information lost by the (other) community since I stopped posting.
I prefer to help newbies, not stupid ones of course. I ain't interested in knowing all the ladyboys in Pattaya and the gossips about them. K ain't interested in meeting haters either.

I think I just read that report the other night, yeah, it was amazing...a few were downright hostile. There are some real egomaniacs out there. It reminds me of something Louis Armstrong said....there are some people that if they don't know, you can't tell them.

You can't have read the complete report. I had it deleted a few months ago. The only info remaining was posted in this forum but summed up in one post.
It's already old stories for me now. I don't want to spend too much time writing a TR, I know my way is original but it works : Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Issan and Southern Thailand : ladyboys are everywhere. Finding a ladyboy who's never met a farang before in a province without ladyboys bars is like eating a wild animal meat. It's a completely different experience.

i'd like to have you show me this in Cambodia. I DID have one or two run ins in Pursat, but in recent year or 2. Nothing. Don't even see em walking on main street to work. Very odd...maybe they went to SR. Spotted ONE in Kampong Cham ONE year and I go there almost every year. I tend to like TR's with lots of pics but NOT lots of pics of un named girls. That's annoying to me. SOME local flavor, BB is a pro at that, but managed to get in some nice girly pics, tho the baby oil thing was a little silly
I like the ruminations and musings in a TR. Not so much the went here, went there, drank this, met so n so, went to another bar, cut up with some ladyboys...thang.

I didn't explore small cities. It had been tough but satisfying in SR, I had found a great submissive freelancer in PP and I had found the scene fairly frustrating in Sihanoukville. Then, I had been in Vietnam.
I decided to keep my activities in Vietnam confidential.

You regret the old posters and the camaraderie in the forum. When you can find posts like the one below that are not moderated, it pushes BMs not to waste their time posting. After all, why not keep one's informations and reviews for oneself ?
