As some of you may have noticed, I recently spent some time in Asia, Bangkok for day.
Lived in Bangkok and worked in Bangkok and Asia for 10years of my life.
Since I left, 7 years ago, I have made several trips back but after this recent trip, I am really feeling the blues.
I am considering making an effort to get back here. Granted work is going shit at the moment (new extremely cheap ownership) and that maybe clouding my judgement.
Also noticed how Thailand is making a pivot east.Im mixed Asian heritage bred in Canada and this trip everyone spoke to me in Chinese. I'm thinking being a westerner, how does this pivot east affect chances of a career in Thailand.
But mostly I remember that when I left in 2011 after 6years full-time in bangkok, I was ready to leave.
Any insights or thoughts is appreciated.
Expat job sites will be greatly appreciated too lol

What is your line or work?

A lot of Westerners living and working in Thailand via remote work, there is even talk of a digital nomad visa being introduced for online foreign workers.

There are several Thai job sites, but LinkedIn and Facebook groups are the best source of work, unless you have a niche or high demand skill.

Well, my previous job was with cruise ships; perhaps something to do with airlines or cruise ships also could fit better to you... but, some companies could bring some issues regarding genderXpassaport... i think it's all depending on which kind of job you can or you're willing to perform.

Also, if is the case, to do some sort of investments at the country could make the things easier...

Take care.
