I appreciate that I am barking up the wrong tree here, but I'm following up a conversation with a workmate from another office in regard to all the Russian women running around Patong and since we always have people there on the ground, this seemed like a good place to start.

 

He's just returned from the Island and by all reports Tinder is chock a block full of cute Russians, none of whom seem to be actually working. I suspect a few are, but not all of them.

 

As a good friend since he's due back there later in the year, is there a place these women hang out? I'm not sure he's keen to pay for play but I thought I might throw him a bone on finding some tourists.

To me it seems a bit strange your friend goes all the way to Thailand and then is interested in Russian's if you like Russians wouldn't going To Russia be better ?

I'm inclined to think this was a revelation he had once he was there.

 

I doubt he found a way to tap into the Tinder resource before he arrived since its location based.

fair enough, but it coild be combining a mongering interest with a tropical vacation.
Would you go to Russia in vacation just to bed some girls? With nothing else much to do?
I have been a few times to this "wonderful" summer resort of Sochi... Still wondering how they can rate it a holiday resort. True that for many decades that war the best they could have....

With the severe drop in the Ruble and Russian economy in recession, there has been a significant drop in Russian tourists - to the order of around 40%-50% less compared to previous years. Also a number of Russian purchased condos/properties have been repossessed due to non-payment. This would have an impact on the Thai economy - though Russians were not as big spenders as Westerners, they did spend more than the Chinese/Indian tourists.

Thank you for the answer... but "p4p" wise, I don't think that much things had changed, right? I mean, not only the "Ruskies" goes to Thailand but also lots of "Brits" & "Mates"...

In terms of p4p - the customer probably can negotiate more than in the past. Western tourist visitor numbers have decreased as well - since the economies of many western countries have not fully recovered from the downturn.

 

There are more tourists coming from China and India however they do not spend as much in all areas and don't engage in p4p nearly as much as the western tourists.

Thanks guys I've been able to do a little bit of investigating via a friend or two on the ground and it seems there are still a few Russian travellers of the female variety.

 

My workmate also has a fake gps app installed on his phone so his tinder is working just as if he's on the ground in Phuket.

 

If I didn't have a head like a bucket of smashed crabs, I'd probably do the same to be honest. A bit of fresh Eastern block yummyness would break up the ladyboy's nicely.
