I joined a couple of Pattaya forums and get prompts from hotels, restaurants, etc. one was for Lagune Guesthouse in the middle of Soi 6. Guessing there might be a noise issue, but they claim no guest fee and the price seems reasonable. http://lagune-guesthouse.de

Try the Victoria Hotel smack dab in the middle of soi 6 ! It is quiet upstairs, restaurant downstairs, and access by private stairs to the aggressive ladyboys on soi 6/1. And cheap !
