Hi - Kind of a strange request, but I'm planning on going to Pattaya in May, and would like to speak to a ladyboy and/or a ladyboy lover about their experiences. This is for a work of fiction, so everything would be completely anonymous. This exchange would also be completely platonic as I am not interested in ladyboys myself (I'm gay).

 

Any help is appreciated. I've also never been to Thailand before, so recommendations on where to stay and how to get around would also be appreciated. I read somewhere that I should only stay in a place that has a personal safe? Is that true? Thank you in advance.

Two things to help you,on your question about hotel .Go to youtube and in the search box, enter "Hacking hotel Room Safes".

Getting around is easy, there is a coach service from BKK Airport to Pattaya,go to google and enter this search: "youtube coach Bangkok to Pattaya" it even shows where to go and how to buy the tickets. Around Pattaya travel is easiest by using Baht Buses which cost pennies,they follow fixed routes. Coaches are cheap for trips. There is also a train but it's a bit grim. You can search youtube for a movie that a guy took of it

Since this site is primarily for ladyboy admirers, your probably not going to find any ladyboys here willing to talk to you. Not that they wouldn't, they just aren't here. Well, rarely are they here anyway.

Before you seek to contact anybody to talk about their experiences, I might suggest first having a look at the thread which says "Trip Reports", especially "trip reports of distinction". Reading those will be like getting into the minds and lives of a great variety of ladyboy admirers from around the world. This might be just the literary fodder you're looking for.

If you actually want to talk to one of us in person, best get to Thailand and seek out the ladyboy bars. There you'll find lots of guys, some of whom would be glad to discuss this world with a sincere and curious author. To setup a meeting in advance, have a look at the "wingmen wanted" link (or "drinking buddies wanted..something like that). You can post there, and explain your situation or reach out to someone indicating they will be there. While most of us do not identify as gay, per se, (an endless and sometimes inane topic n ladyboy forums), I don't think anybody would have a problem chatting with you.

I have no idea , however i'm sure there would be plenty of ladyboys who could nominate a figure ( especially in low season )

quite easy To figure out....
Short Time is appr 1000 baht. That usually means from 30. Minutes To One hour.... Of Action in the Room.
Of course you are not interested in sex but their time is their money.
You can start chatting with some in the bar by paying some drinks. The inevitable question will come: do you barfine me and we go ST...
You can reward their time by still staying at the bar and talk..but she might go if a customers comes in as she is after a barfine and a ST.
as suggested do read here around to familiarise with the lb environment. Lots of stories reported by members here will feed your knowledge. Probably even better than the lb herself
Afterwards get to know a lb in person to fine tune your needs

Personally I'd try to contact the chap and his wife that own New Sensations bar in Pattaya Scott and Paeng.

They have rooms that are reasonably priced so staying there would not be a bad idea.

They have appeared on documentaries about Ladyboys and are fairly knowledgeable.
