Newly opened sister hotel to the famous Dynasty Inn.

The Dynasty Grande is about a 250m walk past the Dynasty and you take a left turn into Soi 6 and hotel is there on your right hand side.

I stayed there for 2 nights this weekend and was really surprised at the whole place. For a start, its excellent value - opening offer rooms are currently 1700 baht nett (i.e service & VAT included) which is not much more than the original Dynasty Inn. They will go up no doubt to the official rate somewhere around 2250 baht ++ in the future, although its not been said when that it is.

OK, rooms are huge and nicely furnished, with large bathrooms comprising bath, seperate shower, toilet, washbasin. Again nicely decked out.

In room safes and plenty of storage space, in room minibar at cheap prices and 24 hr room service again, at what seemed to me to be very reasonable prices.

Totally guest friendly - looks like the staff all came over from the Dynasty - just leave ID card and collect it in the morning.

Compared to the Majestic Grande, Landmark, Marriott etc - this hotel has the room product to match these others (ok Marriott is little bit better than the rest), but the rates are like half of what these other places are charging. Well worth considering and from what I saw, the pool looked nice as well but did not try.

Cheers

Noted this place nearing completion when I visited in November 05, and only made it as far as the foyer when I was in BKK last week.
It looks as though they have spent a few bucks building, and given they already operate 3 other hotels (covering BKK & Pattaya), I would imagine they know what they're doing by now !
Assuming they offer the same free mini bus transfer to Pattaya (as long as you stay minimum 2 nights at one of their Pattaya sites) this Hotel may be a nice option for those who like the creature comforts of the "better" hotels without having to spend a king's ransom.

Thanks Mardhi for your in depth review !

P.S. As you turn left into Soi 6 from Soi Nana, a few doors down is a small internet shop which also does international phone calls & travel arrangements. Internet access was very cheap, and as a bonus a few of the Nana Plaza LB's seem to use this place to check their e-mails.
