Just inquired about a room at the Walkabout Hotel for a few nights, its No-1 on Tripadvisor for Angeles City B&B and Inns

I've stayed at the Walkabout several times now. It's OK, not great but it's clean, close to the action and LB friendly (including multiple guests at once). and I haven't seen anything else as good for the price. The staff are also very friendly and helpful - it can take some time getting used to being called 'Sir' if you've just come from Thailand..
The fact it is number one on Trip Advisor is more a reflection of the general standard of hotels in AC rather than the quality of WA, so don't expect too much. If you have a nice sized budget there are some great hotels for P4000+, such as the ABC and Field Plaza Suites, they are 4/5 star standard but not cheap.

ABC Hotel is LB friendly, but this is a higher end hotel with rooms starting about $130 a night.
