Koh Kood

I seriously doubt it is a LB destination from the descriptions that I've read. It sounds like a island that is cheap, peaceful, and that it doesn't have a bunch of development on it.
My Thai friend says that there are no 7/11s or even gas stations on the island and that fuel for motorbikes is sold in small bottles.
It sounds like a cool place to go relax for a week. Anyone have more info or personal experiences?

Not impossible, there were quite a few more than I expected on Koh Samui, but Kood looks smaller.

The little I know about Koh Kood is that it's a very remote and romantic get away with few bars and no real nightlife to speak of.
I don't think you can compare it to Koh Samui which is a popular tourist destination with several bar areas spread around Chaweng, Lamai and other areas.

I kind of like going to places like that, if you took someone with you that you get along with it could be a fun time.
I like hiking and enjoying nature, but I usually do that sort of thing solo, because I have never found a partner, GG or LB that likes to go backpacking to sit out in the jungle and identify bird and plant species.
Nerdy, I know but it is a hobby that I seldom get to enjoy.

This Island maybe out of the way but an actual fact is this island has been designed as an up coming very high end resort Island already there are rooms that are well over 10,000 per night some guest fly in by chopper or seaplane. The Beckhams, Brad Pitt and the like are regular visitors.

That's interesting... I would imagine they stay on those high end resorts and never leave the grounds.
My friend says there are cheap places, The Jumby Hut is 500 Baht per night, very basic bungalows, but nice enough for me.
I'll probably get around to checking it out, sooner or later.
