Or rather which club is the best for taking a ladyboy to?

 

The three dives that all the cabs want to go to; Bossy, Spicy, and Shock all seem ok with lbs, but not friendly. That one place on soi 4 near Nana was borderline hostile.  Maybe there's a better spot I'm missing?  I didn't try Patpong area or any gay clubs.

 

Last time I was there I thought the girls would know, but no.  Although all seemed happy to spend the night bar hopping I'd say most said they hadn't been to the various places before. Just in general most ladyboys (the ones I was with at least) didn't seem to know a whole lot about Bangkok, except for hotels of course.

 

In Pattaya the answer was easy... all of them.

The Bed Supper Club on Sukhumvit Soi 11 was a good spot, but unfortunately it is closed. I've heard some of the clubs on Royal City Avenue are good, but cater primarily to the under 25 group. If you're much older than that, you might feel out of place.

 

It is located in the Huai Khwang District, which is a bit far from the Nana Plaza.

I'm not a big clubber, but Narz on soi 23 is a decent night out, ladyboy friendly, open until the morning and far more upscale than the other after hours joints you mentioned.

 

In fact most clubs are LB friendly if you take her on your arm, I've rarely had problems. If you don't mind being surrounded by young Thais, the RCA clubs are a good option. Wip in Thonglor is also pretty good. My personal favourite is Maggie Choos, but it closes at 2am and can be crazy busy.

Insomnia was good when I was there a couple of years ago. I had a look around and at one point it appeared that the real girls were outnumbered by ladyboys. The ladyboys seemed to be up for some fun, but unfortunately I was there with a group of people from the back packers I was staying at so I was reluctant to make a move. The crowd was mixed there. Plenty of farangs and plenty of locals. A reasonable age spread as well. I'll certainly go back for another look whenever I'm in Bangers again.

Wow, thanks for all the suggestions.  I'll definitely give some of them a try in Dec.

 

No, like Moo Yung said, all the places would let us in, didn't really have trouble like that.  It was more just the crowd.  Except for Bamboo (I think it's called, close to Nana soi 4 or 3) that was the only place the door guy gave us trouble. Still got in though.

I went to these two clubs this week:

1. WIP in Thong Lo

2. Climax under Ambassador Hotel on Soi 11

Both LB friendly. Climax has live band playing 2 hours nightly.
