For my first ever trip to LOS, I'm really not sure about which hotels to book at all. Although the plan is not yet fully shaped but will be spending nights at all major cities like BKK, Phuket and Pattaya.

The three things which I'm considering for hotels short listing includes

1. Very reasonable rates as I'm on a tight budget for this trip

2. Should allow LBs to stay overnight and not make an issue of it at last minute

3. Located near to action ( you know what I mean)

I'll really appreciable you valuable comments and thanking in advance

An idea of what you consider to be 'reasonable rates' might be useful, plus how long do you propose to stay, as many hotels offer discounted rates for monthly stays.

For points 2. and 3. I would never consider suggesting anything to the contrary  ;)

The 500B rooms at SGH are tiny. The 700 baht rooms are quite a bit better. But still only a wet room shower and I could not get them to do a monthly rate.

Also if you take more than 1 guest, they are not guest friendly :) charge 500 per additional peron :(

Theseus, you need to outline what you want to spend per night for the hotel before we can make much in the way of recommendations. My favorite Bangkok hotel I reviewed a while ago  here: http://ladyboyforum....k-hotels/page-2 the Grand Business Inn - however it might be out of your price range. There are a few threads about hotels in Pattaya, Phuket, and Bangkok - although they are old, many of the hotels are still there and you can contact them for current rates.

However, if you specify what you want to spend, I'm sure that you will get more specific recommendations.

Thanks guys for the great feedback. First I apologise on not clarifying certain points in the first post. For reasonable rates I mean something in the range of 400 to 700 baht per night accommodation.

Batman you memory definitely serving you right as my plan for thai visit is 2 weeks and tentative days are October 11 to October 25. So far I haven't planned how much time in which city and which route to take. So any suggestions in this regard are welcome so far

Phuket is a must on my priority list followed by BKK and Pattaya. Once the schedule is set, the selection of hotels is easier knowing number of nights in each city

Thanks again guys and looking forward to meet you guys in person if our schedule match

Regards
