I've opened this topic so you can show us your latest electronic or other purchases.

This is my latest spur of the moment item...a Bose Soundlink. This is great with a folding leather cover which acts as a stand and this wee beastie links up to 6 blue-tooth devices so you can listen to the sounds on your phone, i-pad etc.

It also has an auxiliary input for you to link up with your laptop or any other device with an output.

Another device destined to keep me company on my jaunts to LoS!

Now where did I put that Lady Gaga album... :D

It's kinda hard to move away from Apple once you're on the trail. 8)

I'd like the new Macbook pro but I'm not convinced...not yet.

I might be persuaded by the cinema screen though...just to start things off. :D

Cheaper to buy one in the UK.

Presumably we are talking about the genuine article and not a knock off device.

I-pad 3 can be had in the Central mall for 26k for the full Monty, thats not bad. 8)

The Apple Cinema screen is 30k there, Macbook airs are there too as well as the rest of the range for less the UK VAT price and you can get the Thai VAT back too at Swampy.

Buying any kind of gadgetry in a country that is not your country of residence can be tricky when it comes to warranties. On most warranties, the full warranty coverage is only in the country of purchase. So, if you are thinking of buying an iPad, or whatever, you should check out their general international warranty before purchasing it in another country.

If you need to get a gadget serviced, you may need to send it back to the country of purchase, to get it serviced. For the sake of argument, Apple UK may refuse to service an Apple Thailand product, and require you to send it back to Thailand for servicing. This can become a nightmare with customs, duties, proof of purchase, etc.

Best to check the warranty situation out before purchasing any gadgets overseas.

I've seen them on third floor, its not for me I told the son of Thai friend I'd buy him one when he was older so not problem with warranty. Its not been mentioned for a while so I hope he has forgot by know.
Doubt I'll ever get one I've not mastered my mobile yet, cheaper in Argos but I'd not take one back to shit city would not last a day out there before some nigerian twat tried to nick it.
