I seem to be having a problem all of a sudden with trying to send private messages, the messages say they r sent, but they go to my out box and not to my sent box ?

That's not a problem, that's correct.
Private messages shall remain in your outbox until opened by the recipient. Once opened they are moved to sentbox.
