What is the difference between ladyboy bar and japanese bar?

I chat with a ladyboy from manila, she work in a japanese bar.
She told me, in a japanese bar, the customers, don't know, that only ladyboys work in japanese bar. And only dancing for the customers, is this true??

My understanding of "Japanese Style Bars" having been in a few in Tokyo (Referred to as Clubs) and Bangkok is as follows:
You go in, buy a bottle of your favorite, and an "Hostess" serves you, mixes your drink and basically the bar charges you for the mix and the Company of the "Hostess" on a Time Spent basis. No Sex is arranged by the establishment, and if anything results of you being with the hostess outside the bar, more power to you.
When you leave, the bottle if not empty remains in the bar with your name on it till you show up again.
LB Bars, self explanatory.
I believe this is what you are referring to.
