I came to Australia 29 years ago, shortly after got a company credit card and became an instant 10% tipper, I don't think I was alone. I still tip on the company credit card, but now I own the company
How much do you tip?

2 points of view on this one. A guy was in a bar recently, had 2 drinks and left a B1000 tip. 'Hey i'm on holiday so what'. Fine, that's his choice but then they start to expect silly money tips and it causes issues. Most guys who are here long term leave 20 baht tips but over the year these balance out against the 2 week millionaires. Some here would consider me a cheap cnut but 10 20 baht tips a night still doubles a person's daily wage. In a place like C&D don't be afraid to buy Fred or the other staff a drink once in every couple of visits- they do appreciate it.
