..I agree, there were a lot of controversies due to LBs venting anger over some of the detailed TRs that were getting leaked outside of the forum, that led to a decision to start a VIP membership which turned off many of the former members having to pay for info they were reporting free on the forum, that led to a change of ownership & moderators & eventually the forum slipped into mediocrity.. it's really sad to see it diminish from what it once was..
I can say I was one of the early members when it was 1st started around 2002 I believe, & being new to the LB scene I had no idea what they were talking about, it was like trying to decipher a new code & it took months before I began to catch on to the underworld LB lingo. I think the format was changed after 2 or 3 yrs & when it was converted to the new format I lost my profile name & never got it back so I assumed a new one. Once the Asian TS ownership changed hands the forum had to separate itself from that name & a guy named Stogie assumed the role of owner/moderator I believe, then it changed hands 1 more time to it's present ownership.
So just like everything else in life, the times change & we'll probably never see a LB forum like the Asian TS forum was in it's infancy, growing into a mongers guide of LB info on demand with names, places and photos to document the travels to the LB mecca of Asia, Thailand.
