I stayed at the Artha Guesthouse in November 2012 and its a brilliant place to stay.

 

The hosts Mally and his Thai missus are fantastic hosts and cannot do enough for you, Mally will also get you reduced rates on day trips through their contacts

 

Mally hails from Wythenshawe (Manchester) and like myself is a fanatical Manchester United fan, his bar below the accomodation is a shrine to the team as you can see in the pics below.

 

The Guesthouse is a 50 baht motorbike taxi ride (taxi rank opposite the guesthouse) or a 10-15 walk to Bangla Road and Cocktail & Dreams

 

I recommend this place very highly, and its not just me..

Jen....Beer....Sonya - good job we're never in Patong at the same time duke, we'd be going scissors / paper/ rock on the girls each night!

 

Room looks nice but I prefer to stay around the guesthouses in Soi Paradise, cheaper and closer to the action with the added advantage of that Soi being quiet.
