Lana Del Rey is devastingly retro-sexy. A great sleepy tune.
Video Games – languorous, sinister and cathartic – nails that awful feeling of being ignored by the person you love. "I get very sad when I play that song," says Del Rey, explaining that the inspiration came from more than one past relationship. "I still cry sometimes when I sing it."
Enjoy.

And wasting all my time
Cuz when you're standing oh so near
I kinda lose my mind, yeah

I thought this a case of casting pearls before swine (so to speak).
Now the song gets picked up.
I often hear it on the radio in the daytime.
There's a new single "Born to die" on 26 January and the album will be released on 30 January.
The official video of " Born to die " is coming, meanwhile you can sample the audio. Enjoy.

The last 4 albums I bought were the new ones by Snow Patrol, Coldplay, Kings of Leon and unusually for me Adele...
looks like another female songstress will be entering my collection...

What a hypnotic voice she has. There's still hope for music in America.
No need to say that I am a fan.
Lana is hot. Watch this retro siren.

Among the leaked tracks is "Summertime Sadness" (interesting title) my favorite. Grandiose IMO.
No fillers only killers.
She has an unusual voice, like it or hate it.
This is a live recording, she's probably a bit tipsy too.

Well after more than two months I posted, there's some reaction (except for Slappy).

Hi indigo66,
I somehow managed to miss the original post & have only discovered the thread today.
I'm familiar with the Video Games track and think it's fabulous.
I must confess I really didn't know anything about Lana Del Ray, but agree that she's gorgeous.
Have discovered a bit more about her via Wikipedia;
http://en.wikipedia....ki/Lana_Del_Rey
Elizabeth Grant (born June 21, 1986), better known by her stage name Lana Del Rey, is an American singer-songwriter. She has described herself as a "gangsta Nancy Sinatra",[2] and cites Britney Spears, Elvis Presley and Antony and the Johnsons as her musical influences
Thanks for sharing, much appreciated.
Cheers
