Thought I'd introduce a light and breezy topic, the matter of whether or not you believe in God.

If you believe, please clarify in your reply:

1. What you believe.

2. Why you believe it.

....feel free to add any comments. We already talk about politics on this site. Why not?

Also, if you are from a mainstream religious background, how have you dealt with the guilt and shame associated with having affections and sexual relations with ladyboys?

Again, what do you believe. And why?

As for me, I voted atheist. I am using this term in the sense of disbelief in "mono-theistic" god. Specifically, the Jehovah and Allah mentioned in the Christian/Jewish/Muslim teachings.

All of them, I consider utter fantasy and the people who like to bible-thump and preach as ignorant......succumbing to a carrot (heaven) and stick (hell) view of the world that is truly nothing more than vulgar fiction. I guess if you voted "devout believer", I just alienated you.

After years of devout Christendom, my worldview changed, by common sense, reason, and by the literary works of Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennett, and Christopher Hitchens.

I do believe there is a "Source". We are, after all, here. Has to be a cause. I just don't think that, by default, it's the god of one's birthplace and society.

I probably should have created an option for "I loosely adhere to the faith of my upbringing, But i don't really believe it in it's entirety.

I am pure atheist. I just do not see the reason why I should believe in a mythology, usually formulated when human society was not yet as developed as nowadays, and created with the intention to manipulate and subdue people.

...and that, I do believe is how children are made.

A couple shouts in the midst of the act "Oh God!". That get's his attention.

The next thing he hears is "Oh baby, oh baby!".

So he figures, "I guess that's what they want....."
