I've used them to fly into HongKong a few times and found them to be very good.

Have flown Cathay Cairns to Hong Kong a few times, also Singapore - Hong Kong and KL-HK. On all occasions a very nice airline to fly - good service, friendly staff; never had hassles.

Have used them before from New York to BKK with one layover in HongKong. Really nice airline. Cathay was rated number 1 airline in the world last year by some travel magizine , the Cathay Pacific website says something about that. Cathay also has good food, and thay have a sale right now on the website. I just got round trip JFK-BKK in September for $867.00 USD .

I flew SFO to BKK a few years ago on Cathay Pacific, service was great, I was favorably impressed. We (the entire flight) missed our connection in Hong Kong on the way back from BKK, probably not their fault, and they put us up in a classy hotel for the night...I'd use them again. As one other member commented, they are consistently ranked near the top in all surveys of the best int'l airlines. Have fun, take a good book and a sleeping pill, when you awaken you'll be in LB heaven!
