Given my restricted dates - when is the best time to travel?

I am planning my 2007 trip to BKK. I have a choice between mid-May to about mid-June to arrive and stay for about a week up to ten days. Obviously, I would like to get there as soon as possible. But I would not want to miss out on any special events that are likely to happen in the first half of June.
Also, I want to visit the Ladyboy shows in BKK. Are any of them likely to be closed during this period.
I am not particularly bothered about the weather.
I would be grateful for your advice regarding the best time to travel.
Many Thanks.

May/June and Sept/Oct are the cheapest times to fly to BKK from the UK on scheduled airlines, not as cheap as it used to be with the new tax but I'm booked on in May through ebookers.com £480 non-stop. Hope you enjoy it, I will!
because it's raining season in thailand.
