I never stayed there, but it is a good location. Very close to Bed, and Q-Bar.

Good location; a little long in the tooth (old); rooms basic. 2.5-3 star hotel. Grand President (also soi 11) much nicer.

Yeah, I agree with Jonnie.
Can be hassle getting guests back into your room at the Ambassador also. Unless you get your guest to sign the Hotel forms you fill in when you arrive, you have to pay something like 300 Baht each night you bring someone back to your room.
This pissed me off because I had already paid for 2 persons sharing my room but every night I returned to the Hotel I had to go through this shit with the security staff.
The Grand President next door is a much nicer Hotel, never any hassle bringing as many guests back as you like. Ask for one of the newly refurbished rooms - they are really good.
