I got a flight for $871 from east coast in late Jan. United Airlines. Nest cheapest was approx. $2,000.

just got a lst minute flight for jan JFK to BKK 1099 including all taxes and fees flying JAL

I always use 1 of 2 websites to book my flights. www.justfares.com and www.asaptickets.com . I never paid more than $900 , and I have gotten tickets for as low as $700 . the non stop flight on Thai airways is $1000 tax and fees included on those sites.
