Today Stickman Bangkok shut down its website. The owner returned to his home country of New Zealand two years ago but continued to report thru connections about the bar scene, night life and activities in Thailand. Although the site primarily reported on the GG scene, it occasionally reported on the ladyboy reality. Like this site , it offered very useful information to both travelers and the inquisitive alike . Poor management by the new owner led to its demise. Another nail in the coffin of the 'life', that we all here share interest .

Is fine and running right now: Sept 14, 2017

That is a different site - Stickman ran for over 15 years. Stickboy is much newer and while reporting on the bars, the Stickman site had more general information about Thailand and life there as well.

well, I don't see this site or LBR doing much better. Sadly not many post in either anymore. You can see a year's postings on one page oftentimes. I guess the old guard keeps in touch by emails and small meets in Thailand. Certainly almost no one posts helpful hints, useful info, etc. Time was I'd hit em both (and the ol Stogie site for SURE) to see what was up and prep. There's a thread on the Raja complex on LBR that is so old the thing MUST be done by now but either way not ONE person has taken pics or done any updating. A thread on the possible "end" of street food was many months old...maybe six or so. Last time I hit Nana it was so dead I can't imagine how or why they keep it open. Seemed like mostly curious looky Lou's, and sometimes their wife/girlfriend. Maybe it's more about the "demise" of Bkk, or LOS in general? God knows the whole world has taken on a decidedly somber mood.

ps   perhaps all this is partially the impact of the smartphone. Time was you'd meet someone at a bar after a message or call, now guys go right to the girls online with LINE, TF, WhatsAp, etc. Things change. Perhaps it was Stick's time too. I will miss the readers submissions a bit.

I couldn't read much about Stickman. The guy wrote so many posts and he enjoyed writing so long posts. I had no time to read everything. I remember though a few excellent releases dealing with relationships with bar girls and how farangs get fooled. It was well anchored in my mind and helped so much to avoid being scammed.

I wish I had been able to find the pages I wanted to read again. In most cases, I just couldn't find the information again as if a new release would replace older ones. I also found a few of these releases boring. I sometimes looked for rote information but couldn't find it.

I eventually wish he had kept his website online so that mongers and other people can still read it. I guess, he would still make a little bit money with adds but he made another decision.

When I look for mongering information, I read the Thailandredcat website (or Cambodiaredcat or whateverredcat). I found accurate information and could measure on the terrain how reluctant it could be. It's about 75 % out of date. It could be a good idea for someone to create something similar but it would be a hard work to keep it updated, month after month.
