I have to say I have found a lot of useful information here and plan to put it to the test soon. Since I have found the forum, I have checked in about once every 2 days. Now I don't really post as I have nothing really to contribute as a new member than the occasional "wow that is neat, or good information" posts that don't really add to the conversation. As someone with no LOS LB experience and limited US experience the info I find here is invaluable especially compared to YouTube personas.

I suppose this is my long winded way of saying thanks and once I actually have something to add of value, I will eagerly post.

This page have lot of useful information but most of it is old, we need new sources and that's where it goes wrong. Most new BM's come here, open account, read stories few months and then change to different forum without ever writing anything here.

I'm not, but have you noticed how "active" they are? Unfortunately we are left pretty much alone here, i'm not even sure if we have anyone than RXPHARM from moderation team to be somehow active.

This once so mighty forum has surely fallen from grace, and i don't know how to make it lively again. Couple days ago i posted lot of pics from La Bamba and Sensations and got zero interested of it. Made me think also that what i'm doing here, do i speak myself only.

Unfortunately even graveyard seems to have more action than this forum, but what one man can do...

The trolls initially made me lose interest in posting here. I'll never understand why "boomdraw" and his 1000 other aliases was allowed to run rampant in this forum.

I'm still in the scene and living in country, but it seems more trouble than it's worth to post a lot of photos.

I'll occasionally post interesting information but it's such a low priority for me.

What this forum needs is a group of freelancers or bar owners to keep it lively with posting regular content.

However, that seems unlikely as the nature of the Internet has changed and there are much easier ways for freelancers and bar owners to promote their businesses.

What comes to Boomdraw, maybe it was idea that "any discussion is better than no discussion at all"? Quantity took over quality and too loosen "right to free speech" policy made potential valuable posters disappear. Who wants to read nonsense or argue with lunatic.

Unfortunately everyone who lives there thinks like you and they don't post pics (which probably gets most interest) so there is no hope for forum to recover. Many guys just look pics without reading texts at all, unless there is something in pic what they want to know... which could lead to more active forum. I don't believe that bar owners alone can recover this, but we need active BM's.

Jimbo was last somehow active bar owner who posted pics from his bar, and seems that he is now gone also. He is active in Ladyboyspattaya but because lack of response here, he got bored.  And i'm afraid that Batman has gone same way too.

I wish our mods Dix and Moo Young activate a little bit. They both are excellent wordsmiths and have access to scene and their actions could change this otherwise hopeless situation.

When someone lives here it may appear from the outside that it's the ideal opportunity to keep a forum updated with current news, events and photos, but the reality can be and often is very different. Many guys who live in Thailand are living what has become their normal lives. The life often yearned for by a holidaymaker is quite dissimilar once established here. A hotel room is somewhere to store your suitcase, shit and shower and return with a ST or LT to do the deed, then sleep. An expat's dwelling is his home, complete with home comforts and entertainment. Apart from anything else he becomes very choosy with whom he allows across his threshold, or even to reveal where it's located.

Familiarity breeds contempt is perhaps a little strong when living in a perceived paradise, but things can and do become mundane after several years of constant exposure to the scene. What appeals to a person changes over time and when living here there is no hurry or numbered days to get things done and tick boxes.

I was most likely jaded already regarding the scene before I made the move to Pattaya over 5 years ago, due to numerous extended trips during the years preceeding the move where the veneer of Thailand was already wearing thin. That by no means is a sign that I don't enjoy living here and I certainly do not regret taking the life-changing step. What I like and enjoy these days is just very different from what I liked about Thailand a decade or more ago. I wouldn't change a thing. Life moves on and people change. Having sleaze available moments away is a double-edged sword.

The advent of smartphones and social media irrevocably altered the landscape of the Thailand many of us once knew, plus life in general. There are many advantages with the new technology, but many things became lost in the process. Farang have lost their advantage over the girls and ladyboys, too much information almost dilutes everything we know. The scene these days has almost become too mainstream and de riguer and mongers are getting younger. Not the seedy behind-closed-doors activity it once felt like, therefore loosing some of its lustre.

This and other Thai ladyboy related fora were once the king of communications regarding all things Thailand and ladyboys. These days they are simply not what they once were, social media put paid to that. Fellow mongers used to chat together via fora, exchanging plans, information, news, the latest must-try girls and for showing off their trophy cabinet. These days they chat together in LINE groups, or scouring Facebook and Thaifriendly harvesting contacts.

The bar scene has changed since the technology took a major leap forward and the girl's modus operandi has developed along with it. Girls stare into their smartphones as customer potential runs into 10's of thousands via the internet, any of which could be the next big fish, as opposed to a bunch of old farang playing killer pool on the premises.

People need to move with the changes and are doing so. Fora still have their uses as they bring a subject into one convenient internet location, but the dominance they once held in this arena as an information highway has long since evaporated. A different world, perhaps, but no less of a world. Same same, but different.

Welcome back mate, your last post was 24. July so it was about time to write something... 555

I agree that if you live there, all this changes to routine and excitement is lost. However these "bored" guys are still those who are best content providers for forum.

Been there, done that. I was bored many times but still tried to keep up my diary but it's up to others to judge how i succeed.

Anyway some funny stories from time to time and few pics could live up forum a lot... unless we just decide to give up and let it die.

Ps. Any news about Batman?

Ps. Any news about Batman?

He's over the hill. That's Pratamnak Hill. He's still a young(ish) man  ;)

That's assuming he is in Thailand at present.

I think you probably know as much as I do. Knowing Batman he's likely hard at work at home or business interests here right now. Any details of which is really for him to divulge.

Maybe that answers the question as to why I don't post on this or any other forum much anymore .. I am never bored. There is never nothing to do. Maybe I am fortunate in feeling this way but I only occasionally ever remember feeling bored during my working life while at work, waiting for the clock to reach a time when it was ok for me to leave for home.

Now retired and living a life of leisure I cannot remember the last time I was bored, it just doesn't seem to happen. Yet, if tried to tell you how I fill my days and nights I would struggle to summarise what I've actually been doing, beyond feeling very contented and relaxed. What I can tell you is that my time is not spent in bars, or drinking, or whoring, but each of those might make an appearance from time to time.

Problem is also that most active member are also in ladyboyspattaya and they look all post/pics there, so there is no need to watch them again in this forum. Even bar owners don't bother to post here anymore because lack of replies.

What this forum needs is few guys who lives there to post pics, videos and information for this forum ONLY to make it interesting and unique again. Otherwise this forum just dies slowly but surely...  :(

The mistake consists in willing to follow LBP and follow the same editorial policy. The line is or was strictly enforced by mods in the other forum, mods might choose to encourage other lines in this one.

While there are some benefits to having different forums, it's clear that there is insufficient interest to sustain more than a couple.

There may actually only be enough critical mass for a single forum.

If the purpose is to post reviews about the same bars and the same bar girls, only one forum is enough, maybe just a second one to allow guys who can’t post in the main forum to post in the second one.

I could see that a challenger forum succeeded in developing interests with mongers posting what they wouldn’t have posted in LBP. In ladyboyreview, a few groups of mongers managed to explore places like Sihanoukville what LBP just started to do.

I don't believe that because this is free for members. If everyone must pay something, then money goes naturally for web-page which gives best value, but because this is free, there is no competition in that case.

This forum needs few content provider for information which can't be found elsewhere. At moment Ladyboyspattaya is biggest forum and you can't find anything from here which can't be found there, so it's not wonder why nobody bother to post here anymore. Everyone goes there at first and after they come here, it's already old news... or not news at all.

What I was looking for in this forum was the possibility to post what I couldn’t post in LBP. I was fired from LBP after writing a TR in which I just noticed that ladyboys working in bars were not only more expensive but also less grilfriendly than ladyboys staying away from bars. The fact could have been a good start for discussion, not for flame wars. I noticed I had violated a taboo. Dogmas say that mongers should go to listed bars only. There many possibilities though in bars that  are not controlled by ”I don’t know who”, in the escort and freelancing business.

The more I think about it, the more I see the ladyboy world differently.

I have to say I have found a lot of useful information here and plan to put it to the test soon. Since I have found the forum, I have checked in about once every 2 days. This is the way a forum should work. What’s the use of posting to create a buzz in which useful information is embedded in useless posts. LBP is full of clans such as guys from the area of Manchester, UK or Aussie who post as they chat in a pub. They probably don’t realize that their one evening discussions will be read years later and will disturb the search for information or smart thoughts in the future.

This page have lot of useful information but most of it is old, we need new sources and that's where it goes wrong. Most new BM's come here, open account, read stories few months and then change to different forum without ever writing anything here.

I guess that what I posted about Malaysia was new in this board. Nobody gave a sh… in other  fora . They were too much focused on their bars and bar girls gossip to see something else. I have more information I have never read in another forum too. But for now, I don’t want to waste my time unless I have guarantees that it won’t disturb the mods or the owner of the forum. Thus was the purpose of my OP.

The trolls initially made me lose interest in posting here. I'll never understand why "boomdraw" and his 1000 other aliases was allowed to run rampant in this forum.

You want to get rid of a troll then attract new ones. A forum should be made by ladyboys lovers for ladyboys lovers. Advertisement for business should be restricted to one section only.

Good thought. A few smart ideas in this post would need to be developed without being disturbed in the forum to make it work and attract members for the originality of the threads.

Some expats tend to dictate their likes to a forum. This is far to be the case for Dixon Cox or Rxpharm, but when this happens it creates a law in a forum. Expats are the lords of the forum and newbies can go away.

Guys and Ladies, New to the forum, here is my two cents:

1. I m very grateful for the information on this site. before I knew it existed I had no idea where to go.  It answered many of my questions and made me more confident in my adventures.  Please do not take it down.

2. I think the military coup (SP?) has driven down tourist and other types of travel to Thailand.  I don't think as many people are looking to make a long term commitment to Thailand or they are much more reserved, than say in the past because of the coup.  I don't think the coupe change peoples desirers or preferences, but may have repressed then temporarily out of concern for safety in Thailand.  Before you jump up and say I am bashing,  I have been several times recently and find that ABSOLUTELY to not be the case, but try to tell that to someone who has not been and they only hear Military coup and fighting in the south, just saying....

3. While people come from all parts of the world to Thialand, I think there was a large contingent of Logcap people that can over from Iraq and Afghanistan between 15 years and 4 years  ago.  That is much more curtailed now, the money and people are gone.

4.  For were I live, they are the most intolerant,I am petrified of being outed, it could mean jail or much much worse.  So I try to minimize my communications and others may also.
