Greetings from California

It will be awhile before I could move there (if), as I'm only 30. I'm lucky enough to draw a disability from my time in the Marines so I plan on putting that to use as an early retirement factor, but doesn't mean I can't vacation.
I always wanted to work out of country to just experience a different culture. But as I've read, jobs aren't easy to get there, considering I don't have a bachelors degree. Currently work as a logistics specialist contracted to the military in California, not thrilled with the cost of living here as im sure many are aware of.
I do have lots of questions and everything but I'll keep reading, doesn't seem to be a lot of traffic on here. Just thought I'd say hey

Welcome aboard Usmccharles! You're still young, so have time to make your plans become reality!
There is a ton of information here, so doing reading will definitely answer a lot of your questions - but feel free to ask about anything you cannot find the answer to.
Hopefully you'll be able to have make a trip to Thailand/Philippines in the future and share your adventures here.

This is a good place to start: Common Questions and Answers - plus of course the Trip Reports, and also the Travel and Accommodations section when you are closer to the time of your trip.
