Apologies that i haven't been on here for a few days but my wretched Apple thingy refused to allow me access: "Beware this site has Malware" kept appearing on my screen. The MacAir nearly got the frisbee treatment into the jungle! Ffs!

 

Anyway lets try and get a few pics up from last night:

 

 

Sunday Night ( Sonkran Eve)

 

I donned my green plastic mac, despite there not being a cloud in the sky, well aware of the liklihood of getting sloshed as i made my way to Soi Bangla.

 People looked askance at the Green Manalishi driving his scooter down Soi SaiNamYen. "Aha", i thought, "but i know what lies ahead". 

 Sure enough, as i turned to join the very slow-moving traffic on Rat-u-Thit Road, the squirting started. I smugly made my way to my parking spot in Soi Paradise and walked through to the bar. I could see Bangla was already awash, with the occasional, bedraggled and soaking tourist, often barefoot, making his/her way back to the sanctuary of their hotel. Still wearing my green condom i arrived at a very quiet C & D. 

 I thought i was going to be Billy-no-Mates all evening, but gradually a few customers and BMs found their way to our relatively dry haven.

 Just before midnight the cabaret squad arrived from doing an outside job in BangTao.

 

 Aum had sensibly donned a pair of wellies:

 I was persuaded to contribute a bottle of 100 Pipers to get the few attendant staff sufficiently intoxicated to start a cabaret

Monday Night

 

 After a day's sloshing and squirting i thought the evening would be flat as a pancake.

 

 But thanks to flipper3000 and a few BMs from the other forum, and the efforts of a few inebriated staff we had another fun night.

 My thanks to both the staff for making the effort, and the customers who braved the continuous soaking for their part in keeping the bar "afloat".

 It's now tuesday 4.30 p.m. and having made a journey to Jungceylon to replenish The Skylab's larder, I can see that everything is now back to normal: the sloshing has stopped, the traffic's flowing freely again, the Goblins have resumed their shopping quests......and the sun is shining.

 

That's sonkran over for another year!
