I'd prefer it to be universal but just iphone/ipod is ok. I dont want it to be heavy on the luggage scales and i don't want it to sound like mush(i've been spoiled by my own hifi system consisting of Naim!)
Cheers

My iPhone is loaded with over a 1000 tracks and simply by plugging this unit into the headphone output socket, music is amplified to an extraordinary volume level.
It's universal as well. Of course it does not sound like my home Bose unit, but is certainly good enough to enjoy my tunes while travelling.
It is called an i-StationGO IPS006 and marketed by Logic3 of Watford. www.logic3.com

k for it's weight since the shop had nailed it down, how inconvenient but they lost any possibility of a sale when i asked what the weight was and they just looked at me with that blank expression!

That's the portable option but if I was going for something for home use it would have to be the B & W Zeppelin air or perhaps a decent soundbar for under the TV you can connect up to.

It's portable i'm looking for, just need something to use when i'm in the loom, the price may have dropped a bit as i've seen the soundlink for 199 squid. If it's the Bose sound link which is a bluetooth device then it's around .5 of a kilo. Battery charge lasts around 5 hours and it's small and robust and a snip at 245 squidlies.

i did notice a very reasonably priced sony dock the other day at about 80 squid
