I replied to your PM. Chinese servers have never been blocked (in fact no country IPs have ever been blocked by the site), It was most likely your server bloacking access to the site.

Hi arras, I am a Shanghai resident who would also rather be in LOS. The ladyboy scene in Shanghai is pretty poor and just got worse with the closing of the Tongren Lu bar street. I went to the newly relocated Manhattan bar and there was not a ladyboy in sight. The newly relocated Judy's bar only had about 2 ladyboys but the new bar is too small and is pretty uninviting. The ladyboys must have moved to a new location but I have no idea where. I have seen the odd chinese ladyboy around but again I do not know their local bars. Any help apprecaited.

As far as I could tell, Manhattan's and Judy's were the best bars in China in terms of always having a few ladyboys in the house - albeit a lot of posties (does anyone else find it hilarious how posties love to flash their "pussies" in the bar?) and a lot more Filipina's than Thais. Bad news, but thanks for posting as I may be in town next week and you saved me wasting a trip.

Where has Judy's moved to? And what about Manhattan - what's the name of the woman who runs the place? Very smart operator. Closed or reviewing her options? Tongren Lu was at least the 4th location for Manhattan that I have been to over the years - and by far the best because she graduated into featuring Filipina's for the large number of english speaking punters in Shanghai. And where there are Filipina's there are laydeeeeees....

Oh, and if you think the scene is poor in Shanghai, you need to get to Beijing for a reality check. I made the mistake of trying another Beijing "TS" last night - a complete and utter waste of time. AND the equivalent of 3000 baht. I don't know why I even bother at this point.

Crackerjax - I went to the Manhattan bar last night (Friday). Its now located at Nanyang Lu, close to the Big Bamboo bar, about a 10 minute walk from the old location on Tongren Lu. Arrived about midnight and the place was packed, good music, same look and feel as the old Manhattan bar, but not a ladyboy in sight. Yes there are still plenty of Filipina's. For old times sake I popped into Judy's which is still located on Tongen Lu, but closer to Nanjing Xi Lu. Its now occupying the old City Dinner spot. The place was very quiet, but had a few Ladyboys but none my type so I went hope empty handed. Its just not the same as the old Judy's, its just too small.

Have we met before in Thailand last year (mid year)? I caught up with a Beijing member in Pattaya.

Sounds like Judy's should have moved along with Manhattan - always good for two venues to be able to cross-pollinate a bit.

Not sure if we met in Ezy or not last year - I tend to get pretty wasted in Pattaya and also often find myself a bit distracted when I'm in that bar....

Both Judy's and Manhattan can be "hit and miss". Walked into the old Judy's last summer to find about 10 ladyboys. So you never know. At the moment things seem pretty quiet around here.
There are a few advertised on Craigslist and a few other sites as well.
Recently most of the ladyboys start at Xiantiandi before moving to Judy's and Manhattan. Some would start to gather at Paulaner Brauhaus about 9 or 10pm.
