Can anyone give me some info about the scene in Shanghai? Not too much to be found on the internet.

 

Ladyboy bars or massage places?

Are you looking for Chinese ladyboys?Can you speak or write mandarin ? There are a few but unless you can communicate in mandarin it is a little hard.

IMHO, you need to forget the ladyboy bar culture if you go to a country like China. I haven't been in China, but it seems to have been a conservative country for decades. I had read about (GGs) brothels but don't expect ladyboys bars. Ladyboys are fairly recent in China. 

 

If you want to gather information about  ladyboys in Shanghai, you should post (in this thread for example) links to any webpage dealing with ladyboys over there and invite other members to complete your thread. Unless you can speak Mandarin and read Chinese, then the odds of you making contact is extremely poor, unless you can meet up with a pay for play Chinese lb who advertises on escort sites.

 

There is a social video network called Youku that has some videos posted of Chinese lbs. Below is an example - there is a lot of advertising so you have to be patient for the video to start.

A few on on Craigslist mostly filipino, with a few thai. The same often go hang out in some expat bars but I don't know which ones exactly. Anyway easier on Craigslist. A bit pricy around 1000-1500 rmb asking price I think a few years ago.

I would avoid local ones as all I have met were cheaters or freaks (fake photos of a Thai beauty, local femboy coming - not that I don't like! - crazy attitude all along still pretending to be Thai; I had two like these).

I was in Shangai in 2003 and I found several lbs there. However, Shanghai changes very fast and I am sure the scene there is completely different today than back in 2003. Yes, its a conservative country, but I think you will find some shemales/transgendered people if you go to gay bars there. These bars you should be able to find online.

Also you can try an escort site. If you choose China in the link below, you will find contact info to several lbs in Shanghai. As mentioned by another member, Craigslist is another good option. I think think you will enjoy Shanghai - good luck! :-)
