onetruesaxon, thanks for posting about the touring group. It looks like they have some better accommodation for at least this stop. I have heard stories they were being exploited by the promoter and cabaret owner in the past. The performers would only get paid a pittance and the profits were pocketed by the promoter and the cabaret owner.

I think it is a good thing to have a bit of Thailand traveling about, even if a lot of people are only going out of curiosity. No matter how cheesy board members think the lip sync shows are, they do have a lot of talent.

I wish them good luck on their continuing tour, and hope that board members who do meet up with them treat them well!

The accommodation was top. A beautiful flat all self contained. two balconys. One over looking the river with ducks in.. Though I still think they get a pittance at £20.00 a day and the promoter and the cabaret owner still pocket the profits. Hope other BM's treat them with respect when they meet up with them.

And while 20 pounds a day does seem low, I suppose there is satisfaction in a doing an "honest" job as opposed to p4p. But at that wage it does seem that the temptation would be there to welcome the occasional assignation with a generous benefactor. Kliome?

I have been to going to The Ladyboys of Bangkok Show for the last 10 years (except one), it is both great and funny imho and I will be attending the show again in Manchester this June a few days after returning from the Philippines

so i went to see them in 2014 and fell in love with the girl that did the boxing scene ! problem was that it was the day after my wedding and i was with my new wife ...... was depereate to try to talk to her some how as she was the most beautiful girl i have ever set eyes on
