A number of airlines are settling a class action lawsuit concerning price fixing between the US and Asia/Oceania. This includes Japan Airlines, THAI, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Malaysia Airlines, Air France, Vietnam Airlines and Qantas. The lawsuit is continuing against non-settling airlines.

It is possible to claim a share of the settlment funds, but they will hardly cover much considering the number of eligible claimants and legal fees. Expect nothing and treat anything (possibly including coupons instead of money) as a bonus.

Eligibility is only for travel from the US to Asia/Oceania (one-way or return) since 1 Jan 2000, except Japan Airlines which is compensating Asia/Oceania to US as well.

Thanks for thinking of your friends.
Old, cantankerous, and sorry if I piss you off - well, not really. Just enjoy!
