Hey all. Recently joined Thaifriendly to get a jump on my 1st visit to Thailand.

I have noticed that some LBs have multiple profiles on site.... and seem a bit angry about liars, cheaters, etc.

Also, lots of Barladys just interested in local men.  

Why the multiple profiles?    And am I wasting my time?

It really isn't necessary to use something like Thai Friendly for trying to find lbs in Thailand - with dedicated lb bars and areas where they frequent, it's almost like shooting fish in a barrel. Quite different than in the Philippines, where the scene is more haphazard, and using dating sites to establish contact is the best strategy.

 

As for multiple profiles - it could be they are trying to attract more replies, or some may be "fake" copying a popular lb member's information to get some interest.

 

As for being angry with liars, cheaters, etc - wouldn't you be? It's also a waste of their time to chat with someone who is fantasizing about them on the internet with no intention of visiting them in Thailand, so that is why they want contact with someone local.

 

Is it a waste of your time? Not always as it is possible to meet some nice non pay for play lbs this way, or avoid a bar fine as some board members prefer that strategy.

 

As mentioned, I don't think it's necessary for a place like Thailand, but you're the best judge if it is a waste of your time or not. I am presuming you've read the advice for newbies on the forum (if not it's a good idea), and check out the bar and trip report sections.

As rxpharm mentioned about Thailand, take the advice and just go.

 

If you are looking for a better dating site to meet specific people try My ladyboy date.

If your looking for Escorts try craigslist.

If your after a Thai Bar LB, then just go, so many places.

The downside about getting into an online "back-and-forth" with someone before your trip is that your time can be monopolized by them once you get there.

I'd recommend spending a only a set amount of time with whomever you meet online, and keeping a good chunk of your trip open for exploring.

Accomplishing that will probably involve some fibbing on your part, so come up with a plausible reason as to why you are heading out on your own and don't make any big promises to whomever you chat with online.

Use it after, or a few days before, you land. Unless you're out for a very long term relationship it does waste their time if you start chatting months before you get there.

 

The girls say all kinds of things on there, I basically ignore it and send a message anyway, those that say they're absolutely not into p4p are just as willing to come over for short time as a girl who puts her rates in the profile, and if not, (which I've never had happen) she'll just say no, or ignore your message, no problem.

If you are a relative newbie, I would say the gogos and bars like Check Inn are the way to go. You can see lots of ladyboys at o e place and time and the transaction is relatively straightforward. Plus joshing with the girls in the bars can be great fun.

TF is by no means a waste of time but requires more time and a little effort to find the girls you might like. For locals like me, it's great because it cuts out allot of the bull and middle-men expenses like barfines and lady drinks and I've found some of my hottest ladies on TF, including my current ladyboy dominatrix. However, I've also had to kick out a couple of the girls for various reasons and have done a couple charity fucks of some of the TF girls who showed up who I would never had barfines if I had seen them in a bar.

Another option to consider is a phone app called wechat. Been working out pretty well for me this trip. 

Just use the Discover - People Near By search. The girls put ladyboy in their profile so no trouble telling.   Or you can use the other surefire ways to tell; ladyboys are prettier, and are ok with 500bht.  If you have a 39 year old slapper wanting 2000 ST then likely a gg.
